HELLO AND WELCOME!

I am so happy that you’ve stumbled across my little piece of the internet. KellyElizabeth.org is a creative outlet for me; a place to share my dabbles in digital creation, travel, home decor, writing and such. My interests and passions are varied, a bit obscure at times, and more often than not, 100% certified nerdy. I hope you’ll stay a while, return often and enjoy looking around. This is me. This is my crazy, beautiful life…

FACTS ABOUT ME:

  • I am a follower of Christ. Unashamed Christian, saved by the grace and mercy of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
  • I am married to an incredible man. We’ve been together since July 2009. He is an animal nut like me. We were married October 5, 2012.
  • We have three dogs, four cats, a chinchilla and an African Grey Parrot. They are my children and I love every minute with my crazy, furry and feathered zoo!
  • A life long dream for me is having a horse of my own. I’ll get there one day soon!
  • I have a huge family! Huge as in one of six kids. I am third born out of our loud, crazy, loving tribe.
  • My siblings are my absolute best friends.
  • I LOVE TO TRAVEL! Compared to many, I have traveled very little, but I am slowly changing that. Fortunately, my husband and I both enjoy seeing new places. You can read about our traveling adventures here.
  • I’ve been designing websites since I was about 11. I started out in the internet/blogosphere way back in the day on Compuserve and AOL Hometown, blinking GIF’s, obnoxious rotating backgrounds, bright colored, ridiculous fonts and all. Oh, the memories!
  • I am a creative soul. Color, texture, form and composition make my soul happy. I am happy creating on many different platforms/mediums – Writing, web design, graphic design, drawing, painting, throwing pottery, vinyl design (Silhouette junkie!), home decor and sign making.
  • I was born and spent most of my childhood in Moreland, Georgia. I am proud to say I am from a small town. Being a child, surrounded by wide open spaces, horses, and the beautiful outdoors, being allowed to run, play, imagine and create is why I am, who I am. Moreland, Georgia will always be home.
  • I currently live in Florida. I have met and been influenced by so many amazing people here. I wouldn’t be me without each and every moment spent in this city. I’m not a fan of the heat, but the beach is a nice bonus.
  • I have dreams of living out West one day – Montana, Wyoming, but in my heart I’ll always be a Southern. You can take the girl out of the South…
  • I am a hopeless coffee addict/fiend/junkie. I really have a problem. MUST. HAVE. COFFEE.
  • Walking in to a coffee shop is instant happiness for me.
  • Walking into a bookstore is instant happiness for me.
  • I will always, always, always hold a special place in my heart for NES and Super NES. Mario (1,2,3 & Super Mario Bro’s), Ninja Gaiden, Donkey Kong for Super NES and Mike Tyson’s Punch Out are a part of me. I grew up playing on those old school gaming systems and they’ll always be my favorites.
  • I love to play The Elder Scrolls Online. I play on the Xbox platform. I am an addict. Daggerfall forever!
  • I have recently taken up throwing pottery and I’m enjoying it immensely.
  • I have a ever growing collection of Chuck Taylor’s. It’s rare for me to wear anything else. Chucks go with most everything, I say.
  • I have always and will always be utterly captivated by and in love with Orca or “Killer” Whales. I am fiercely passionate about their well-being and the well-being of all animals.
  • I am most at ease and happiest when surrounded by my angel children with fur. If you were to ask me what is the one thing I was put on this earth to do? What do I bring to this world? What is my purpose? I would tell you I was put on this earth to love, protect, and be a voice for the animals God created. I was brought up by parents that taught me the importance of respecting the innocent, caring for the helpless, and putting others before myself, both human and animals alike. I am thankful for that. My love of animals has always been such a huge part of my identity and I’m proud of that. As long as I have breath in my body I will care for them. I will make sure that I do all that I can to ease their suffering and improve their lives, every day that I live.
